There are words
that have not yet been spoken
and I believe
that is the future

My approach to Individual Therapy

I see therapy as a space for reflection, curiosity, and deeper understanding; a place to explore the roots of emotional pain and make lasting, meaningful change. Therapy should be an opportunity for you to come up with your own explanations, ones that make you feel like you have more choice in your life, and that allow you to be more grounded, connected, and authentic in your relationships with others and with yourself.

To help you in that process, I offer a structured yet flexible space to work through the difficult events in your life, the relationships you wish were different, and the overwhelming emotions that might be getting in the way. I combine psychodynamic psychotherapy, EMDR, family systems therapy, and elements of CBT, tailoring the approach to something that makes sense to you. If you want to know more about my therapeutic approach and the frameworks that inform it, you can read about them here.

In our first session, I will aim to:

  1. Understand what brings you to therapy and begin to get to know you.

  2. Give you a clear sense of how I work and create space for your questions or concerns.

  3. Develop a preliminary plan together so you have a sense of what therapy with me might look and feel like.
